Our DRL series Thermal Oil Heaters offer innovative design maximising efficiency. These Thermal Oil Heaters incorporate a large combustion chamber giving flexibility to burn various coals. A refractory lining allows for the combustion chamber to heat soak, providing ample reflective heat and heat reserve to dry incoming fuel, providing good stable combustion. Specialised chain grate stokers allow air to be distributed where it is required to ensure complete combustion of the fuel without high excess air. A heavy and robust grate design provides a reliable grate with low maintenance costs.

A large combustion space with increased surface area provides superior energy transfer from the combustion gas into the thermal oil. Large S shaped tube heat exchangers to the rear of the unit maximise the energy transfer further.
The superior insulation system on the DRL series Thermal Oil Heaters comprises a multilayer of fire bricks, refractory and ceramic fibre insulation, encapsulated in a steel casing, providing excellent containment of heat with very little radiant heat losses.
Consistent Oil Temperatures:
The design flow through the DRL series Thermal Oil Heaters is such that the oil providing the process heating medium is delivered to the process at a consistent temperature with accurate temperature control. The DRL series Thermal Oil Heaters provide even flow throughout the heat exchanger to ensure the oil is not damaged due to overheating as a result of low flow.
A number of combustion chamber access points are installed, allowing easy access to the boiler for maintenance, inspection and cleaning. Thermal oil headers are also fitted with blank flanges, allowing for servicing and inspection.

A flue gas analysing probe mounted in the boiler's exhaust ducting constantly monitors the flue gas and adjusts the air fuel ratio to ensure precise combustion control. Variable frequency drives are used on all the fans to ensure accurate control, maximising Thermal Oil Heater efficiency and minimising electrical consumption. A full SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) provides an animated operator interface to indicate current Thermal Oil Heater control status, fault descriptions, trending and testing functions. A cellular modem provides the ability to contact responsible persons assigned to the Thermal Oil Heater via cell phone or pager, with a description of the actual fault should it occur.
